RECALL: Trader Joe's Mexicali Salad sold in S.A. stores

Other salads recalled in two other states

Local customers who bought a packaged salad at Trader Joe's are being told to return it to the store for a refund or throw it out because it may have been contaminated with E. coli.

A store spokesperson said while other items were recalled, the only product sold in this area is the Mexicali salad. The label reads: Trader José's Mexicali Brand Salad with Chili Lime Chicken (SKU 97216)

The questionable salad was sold in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington Stores.

Three other items sold in northern California and northern Nevada have been recalled. They are:

  • Trader José's Mexicali Brand Salad with Chili Lime Chicken (SKU 97216)
  • Trader Joe's Field Fresh Chopped Salad with Grilled Chicken (SKU 99050)
  • Trader Joe's Classic Greek Salad (SKU 83579)

Customers with questions may contact Trader Joe's Customer Relations at (626) 599-3817 [Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time].
