Salvation Army red kettle, angel tree campaigns need help

Donations down from last year

SAN ANTONIO - The bells are ringing and the Angel Trees are decked, but local Salvation Army officials say the donations are not keeping up with demand.

"We are about $12,000 behind last year's efforts in our red kettle campaign," said Danny Hermosillo, business manager for the San Antonio Metropolitan Area Command of the Salvation Army. "We still have some kids in need of toys and clothing before our Angel Tree distribution on Monday."
