Power hit takes KSAT-12 off air

Power fully restored around 11 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO - A massive power hit at the KSAT-12 studios knocked the station off the air Thursday evening.

The power outage happened a few minutes into the Nightbeat as anchor Isis Romero was reading an introduction for reporter Matt Rivers' story.

KSAT-12's engineers worked to get the station back online and power was restored around 11 p.m.

An abbreviated version of the Nightbeat aired at that time and evening programming continued without any further problems.

KSAT-12 apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused our viewers. We also thank viewers for their patience during this very unusual circumstance.

A quick program reminder: Those of you wanting to see the Madonna interview on Nightline should set your DVRs for the 8-8:30 a.m. half hour of GMA when it will be rebroadcast.
