SAN ANTONIO - A local man who was featured on news segments for national TV is accused of distributing child pornography.

Gemase Lee Simmons, 35, was arrested Tuesday morning at his Northwest Side apartment.

Simmons was originally featured on NBC Dateline and MSNBC dating back to 2008 after he was accused of exploiting several people.

News transcripts indicated Simmons allegedly promised those people they would appear on a reality show about modeling, but the show never existed.

NBC Dateline also reported Simmons had allegedly engaged in improper sexual behavior with some of the complainants.

According to Tuesday's arrest affidavit, Simmons was taken into custody after he convinced a minor to send nude pictures of herself to his phone.

There's no word if the arrest and child distribution charge is related to the alleged incidents on NBC Dateline or MSNBC.
