Prisoner escapes from SAPD Headquarters
Woman was being interviewed in check forgery case when she left
SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio police confirm a female prisoner escaped their custody early Monday morning.
SAPD detectives were interviewing the woman when she escaped around 4 a.m.
Details of how she escaped are unknown. Officials said she was at headquarters because she is facing check forgery charges.
Police believe she escaped from the building and fled on foot into the downtown area.
She is described as 5-foot 1-inch, weighing 130 pounds with blonde hair.
