Retama Park posts record-breaking wager day

Officials: Park posted new simulcast wagering record during Kentucky Derby

SAN ANTONIO - Saturday was a good day for local horse racing fans at Retama Park.

Park officials say four lucky gamblers cashed in on this year's Kentucky Derby.

Those winning tickets paid out more than $48,000 each on $1 superfecta tickets for the derby which was won by "I'll Have Another."

That was part of a record breaking day at Retama Park.

Officials say the park posted a new simulcast wagering record just shy of $1.1 million.
