SAN ANTONIO - The loud cheers of "Go Spurs Go" that have been ringing all over San Antonio for the past couple of months have gone silent.
Thursday morning, Spurs fans woke to the reality their team was done and out of the playoffs.
“Terrible,” Spurs fan Larry Dunlop said, describing how he felt when he woke up Thursday morning after the spurs lost four in a row to the Thunder. "I would have bet everything I had (that) nobody could beat the Spurs four in a row and I would have lost everything."
The Dixie Flag company on I-35 near downtown had already taken down their 30-by-60-foot "Go Spurs Go" flag.
"The only time we like taking it down is when we win a championship," said Henry Van De Putte III, with Dixie Flag.
After coach Gregg Popovich coined the phrase, “I want some nasty,” Big Sam’s Bar and Grill came up with the Big Nasty burger.
"We are going to keep it from now on," said Big Sam's General Manager Joshua Herrera. "It's on the menu, win or lose."
Win or lose, Spurs fans will keep their team.
"They are a good team, I love them, " said Alexis Vizcarra, a big Spurs fan.
