Rolando Gomez Jr., Gerardo Hernandez arrested in robbery at Cricket store

SAN ANTONIO - Police arrested two men and are looking for a third suspect after an armed robbery at a cell phone store on the North Side.

Two masked men walked into the Cricket store in the 4400 block of Blanco Road around 8 p.m. Thursday.

According to police, one of the men was armed with a gun and one had a Taser.

The two suspects demanded cash from the register, then forced an employee and manager to the back of the store and took money from the safe.

The men fled, but a witness from across street followed them and called police with a description of their car and license plate number.

Police later found the suspects in the 500 block of Arbor and took them into custody.

They were identified as 21-year-old Rolando Gomez Jr. and 20-year-old Gerardo Hernandez.

Police interview the suspects and were told there was a third man involved who was the driver. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
