SAN ANTONIO - Bexar County Sherriff's deputies say they found a large stash of marijuana in a man's truck after he was pulled over for a traffic violation.
The man was pulled over in a parking lot near Interstate 35 and 1604.
On the outside, the white pickup truck looked normal. But inside the gas tank and tires, deputies said they found hidden bundles of marijuana.
"We had DPS troopers out here assisting. We were able to remove the bed and started removing bundles," said Bexar County Sheriff's Office Lt. Dennis Casillas.
Deputies said they stopped the 42-year-old driver from Houston and that a canine alerted deputies that there were drugs inside.
"The deputy pulled him over in this parking lot and began to interview the individual, who was inconsistent with where he was going and where he was coming from and alerted him to look a little bit deeper," said Casillas.
Deputies found 115 pounds of marijuana in the truck.
