Police: Dad tried to break up fight when he backed into knife

SAN ANTONIO - A 45-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday evening after San Antonio police said he was accidentally stabbed by his son.

Police responded to a fight at a home in the 6000 block of Castle Queen on the East Side around 5 p.m.

Officers said two women were fighting inside the home when the husband of one of the women attempted to break them up.

Investigators said his son pulled out a knife to threaten him and the father backed into it.

Police said the man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police questioned the people involved, but no one was arrested.
