SAN ANTONIO - Following are a list of Fourth of July events in San Antonio area. All events are free unless otherwise noted.

San Antonio

Woodlawn Lake

July 4th Celebration & H-E-B Fireworks. Family day of games, food and musical entertainment. Salute to the Red, White, & Blue Children's Parade gathers at 10 a.m. at the
Woodlawn Gym. Parade begins at 11:30 a.m. H-E-B Fireworks Extravaganza begins at 9 p.m. Woodlawn Lake Park, 1103 Cincinnati.

HemisFair Park

Free event is open to the public and will feature food and beverage booths, live music and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. Food will be provided by local food trucks. Parties, Picnics and Promotions will be providing activities in the H-E-B Kid Zone, such as face painting, balloon animals and a moon bounce.

Morgan's Wonderland

Special entertainment and free food (while supplies last) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free hot dogs with all the trimmings plus apple pies courtesy of McDonald's Restaurants will be served. The Revolution Drum and Bugle Corps will present patriotic favorites during multiple performances as the Rapier Trust Starlight Amphitheater and conduct interactive musical clinics with audience members.
Military personnel, first responders and members of their families who present valid ID cards at the Morgan's Wonderland Welcome Center can obtain a special discounted admission of $8 per person. Individuals with special needs and children ages 2 and younger are admitted free.

Heroes Stadium/Scorpions Game

There will be a fireworks show following the Scorpions/FC Edmonton game. Free tickets are available to current and former members of the armed forces, police and fire departments, and additional general admission tickets are available for a discounted rate of $10.

SeaWorld of Texas

7 p.m. Brothers of the Flame event following by fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

Fiesta Texas
Celebration begins at 8:30 p.m.

Wolff Stadium
Celebration begins at 9 p.m.

The Alamo
The Wallace Sisters Singers, will perform in the Arbor from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. The performance will include popular patriotic and inspirational favorites.

The city of San Antonio's fireworks hotline (210-227-0202) will be in operation from noon to 11 p.m. on July 4 to report illegal fireworks use.

Windcrest

10:45 a.m.: Opening ceremony by American Legion 612 in front of City Hall.
11 a.m. Parade begins at City Hall and will circle the Windcrest Golf Course.
Immediately after the parade, there will be a celebration with free hot dogs, apple pie, vanilla ice cream and refreshments (while supplies last) at the Windcrest Golf Club parking lot.

Olmos Park

The 4th of July Olmos Park parade will run from 9:15 a.m. until completion. Participants may begin gathering at Alameda Circle at 8:45 a.m. and will follow a route south on Broadmore to East El Prado to Luther Drive, east on Luther Drive to West El Prado and return north to Alameda Circle. Walkers, bikes, skaters and vintage cars are encouraged to participate. Refreshments will be served in Alameda Circle upon the conclusion of the parade.

Terrell Hills

The annual Independence Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Eldon and Ivy. The parade will proceed down Eldon to Genesco, where a variety of games and festivities will occur.

Schertz

The Schertz Jubilee celebration (carnival, music, food, fireworks, barbecue cook-off, applie pie cook-off) will be at Pickrell Park at 703 Oak Street. A parade begins at 9:30 a.m. Clemens High School, travels south on Schertz Parkway, west onto Main St, then north on Oak St. to Pickrell Park. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

New Braunfels

Festivities begin with a concert by Jeff Keith & Band at 7 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m. at Landa Park.

Boerne

Fireworks show begins at 9 p.m. at City Park.

Seguin

Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Austin Street between College Street and the Seguin Guadalupe County Coliseum.

Jourdanton

A Fourth of July Celebration will be held at Jourdanton Park from 5 to 10 p.m. There will be entertainment, free hot dogs & drinks (while they last), and other fixings. Fireworks are scheduled to start at 8:45.

Pleasanton

Fourth of July event at Lions Wayside Park starts at 12:00 noon and will feature patriotic music performed by the Pleasanton Community Concert Band, a recognition of veterans and those serving in the military, guest speakers, and a $1 hot dog lunch.

Lytle

A 4th of July parade will start at John Lott Park at 10 a.m. The parade will travel from the park entrance on Live Oak Street up to Somerset Street and down Adams Street to the other entrance to the park.

A fireworks show will start at 9:30 p.m. at John Lott Park.

Floresville

The Wilson County Patriots and the San Antonio Tea Party will hold a "Let's Get Serious -- Vote for your Children's Future" Fourth of July Freedom Celebration from noon to 3 p.m. at the Floresville River Park Pavilion on S.H. 97 West.
