What's happening this weekend

The Ringling Brother and Barnum and Bailey's "Fully Charged" continues this weekend at the Alamodome. The circus features animal trainer, Tabayara, the Fernandez Brothers on the Twin Turbins of Steel, the strongman duo of The Titanic Tulga and the Might Meetal and much more. The 19th Annual Balcones Heights Jazz Festival kicks off this weekend at the Wonderland of the Americas Amphitheater. The free concert series features jazz musicians and bands every Friday night until August 3rd.  Steve Cole and Groove Therapy will play this Friday's opening concert.  The show starts at 7:00pm. And some family fun for a good cause at the Community Blood Drive and Family Fun Day on Saturday.  There is plenty for kids to do, like pony rides, a petting zoo, a moon bounce and face painting.   Tickets are $1 for food and activities. The Blood and Tissue Center will be set up for blood donations. That's Saturday at the Community United Church of Christ from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

And for car lovers, the Hill Country Auto Club is planning its 14th Annual July Open Car Show in Kerrville.  The show features everything from vintage cars to hot rods.  It happens at the Kerr County Courthouse Square in Kerrville from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Click here for more details.
