Man struck by car on Highway 281
Driver stopped to help, victim's condition unknown
SAN ANTONIO - A man was struck by a car while he was running across Highway 281 early Friday morning.
The victim told police he was running from someone when he darted into traffic and was hit just after midnight in the southbound lanes of 281 between Bitters and Nakoma.
Police did release the extent of the pedestrian's injuries, but said the impact was enough to knock him out of his shoes.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver who hit him stopped to help and is not expected to face charges, police said.
