Report: Gas prices on the rise

San Antonio prices mirror national trend

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio gas prices are rising again, with an increase of 10 cents per gallon of gas in the last week.

According to gasbuddy.com, which tracks prices around the country, the average price per gallon in San Antonio is $3.28, with prices as low as $3.15 in some neighborhoods, and as high as $3.59.

“We’re just going to have to hope that it at least doesn’t go up quite as fast as we’ve been seeing in the last few days,” said Mario Rodriguez, as he filled his tank Monday afternoon.

Despite the increase, the average price of gas is less than it was a year ago at this time, when prices averaged $3.59 a gallon.

San Antonio gas prices remain 20 cents below the national average.
