CR tests mini-fridges for dorms

Most did not perform well in tests

For folks heading off to college, a mini-fridge comes in handy.

Consumer Reports tested 19 different models and found most did not perform well.

They did not maintain even temperatures in the refrigerator or freezer sections.

They did find one to recommend: Frigidaire model # FFPH44M4L. It costs $220.

Before buying a mini-fridge, it's a good idea to check with the school to see what is allowed.
