Jeweler in critical condition after stabbing

SAPD: 2 masked men sought in attack

SAN ANTONIO - A traveling jewelry salesman is in critical condition after he was stabbed repeatedly in the leg in the parking lot of the Lincoln Heights shopping center.

According to Sgt. Daniel Alonzo, with the San Antonio Police Department, the victim visited a jewelry store in the shopping center, then went into La Posada del Rey restaurant to eat.

When the man got back into his car, Alonzo said, he was attacked by two meaning dressed in black from head to toe, wearing masks.

Alonzo said one of the suspects pushed the victim across to the passenger side of the car, where the other suspect stabbed the man in the leg with a knife.

Alonzo said the two suspects fled the scene in a black vehicle, which was recovered in a church parking lot about a block away. The two suspects remain at large.

The victim was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
