Christopher Northcliffe, 51, meant different things to different people.

The entrepreneur and avid photographer was laid to rest Saturday. He was described as a man of peace who saw beauty in everything and a bright light in what often times is a dark world.

The beloved family man was shot and killed Monday afternoon during a shooting rampage in a quiet College Station neighborhood. Relatives believe Northcliffe was checking on one of his rental properties when he was gunned down.

The rental home was down the street from the home the shooter was renting. Thomas Caffall opened fire killing a constable and wounding several others.

On Saturday, those who knew Northcliffe poured into the Our Savior's Lutheran Church to say their goodbyes. Family members wanted the community to know his light will not be extinguished by this senseless act and that his legacy and spirit will continue to thrive in the lives of everyone who knew him.

Northcliffe is survived by his wife, son and daughter. A benefit fund has been set up for the family. Northcliffe received his bachelors degree in engineering technology from Texas A&M in 1999.
