Man's body found at Pearl Brewery complex
Construction workers notice strong odor, find body
SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio police said the body of a man believed to have been in his 30s was found Tuesday at the Pearl Brewery complex.
Police said while they have not identified the body, it does appear it was an accidental death.
Construction workers complained of a strong odor by the brick tower.
One construction worker said the smell was there on Monday but they didn't expect it to be a human body.
"We could smell it and we don't know how long he was there but unfortunately, it seems that maybe he was in an area he wasn't supposed to be in and, you know, it cost him," the worker said.
That worker said the man, who may have been in his 30s, may have climbed into that Pearl brick tower and fell about 20 to 30 feet.
Police said there is a construction worker who has been reported as missing for about a week, but were unable to confirm if the body was that of the missing worker.
