Fire torches dental office building on Woodcliffe Street

SAFD: Woman treated for smoke inhalation, cause of fire unknown

SAN ANTONIO - Fire crews battled heavy flames for over two hours after a fire broke out at Northwest Side dental office building on Woodcliffe Street early Friday morning.

San Antonio fire officials say a woman was treated for smoke inhalation after the fire broke out at the business complex around 2 a.m.

Fire officials said part of the difficulty getting the blaze under control was due to the metal roof that made it impossible to get water to the flames. The fire was extinguished after the roof collapsed.

Fire officials said the woman inside the building was an overnight employee. She was expected to be OK.

A cause for the fire or damage estimates were unknown early Friday morning.
