Police: Pedro Garcia broke into car at Walmart, stole $750 in jewelry

Garcia, 31, charged with theft in car burglary on West Military Drive

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio police have arrested 31-year-old Pedro Garcia in connection with a burglary outside a Walmart on West Military Drive.

Information provided by a witness helped police track down Garcia, who is charged with theft.

The arrest affidavit stated a witness told police she saw Garcia peering into the windows of a parked car in Walmart’s parking lot.

According to the affidavit, she also saw the same man open the door and take out some items.

The car owner told police someone stole about $750 worth of jewelry from the car.

Police said the witness was able to provide a license plate number for the getaway car, and that led them to Garcia. Investigators said she also identified Garcia in a photo lineup.
