Suspect caught on surveillance video, stole about $40 from Paradise Car Wash and Detail Co.

SAN ANTONIO - A man was caught on surveillance video using a crowbar to break into the Paradise Car Wash and Detail Co. token dispenser early Wednesday morning in Leon Valley.

Adolfo Garza, who owns the car wash on Evers Road, said the thief got away with only about $40 cash, but did several hundred dollars worth of damage to the machine.

Garza said the man, who appeared to be driving a Mercedes-Benz, appears in the video shortly after 2 a.m., and leaves after about 20 minutes.

Garza said the Leon Valley Police Department is investigating the crime.
