Southwest Airlines plane searched at SA Int'l Airport

Threat called in to airline, considered hoax

SAN ANTONIO - A Southwest Airlines flight from Baltimore, Maryland, to San Antonio sat parked away from the terminal Monday night after a non-specific threat was phoned into the airline.

From the air, passengers could be seen standing in a grassy area. Luggage was removed from the plane so each piece could be examined by a sniffer dog.

After a lengthy search, officials determined the threat was a hoax.

The threat did not appear to create arrival or departure delays.
