Man stabbed during fight at Gloria's Bar in downtown San Antonio

Suspect also injured by beer bottle at bar in 300 block of N. Flores

SAN ANTONIO - A fight at Gloria's Bar in downtown San Antonio sent two men to the hospital late Wednesday night.

San Antonio police were called to the bar in the 300 block of N. Flores Street around 11:30 p.m.

Two men were drinking at Gloria's Bar when they got into a fight and one man stabbed the other, San Antonio police said.

It was not immediately clear what the men argued over, but San Antonio police said they had known each other for some time.

During the fight, the man who was stabbed fought back and struck the other man over the head with a beer bottle.

Both men were taken to the hospital for treatment and they are expected to recover, San Antonio police said.

The man accused of stabbing the other will likely be charged with assault with a deadly weapon, San Antonio police said.

The man who was stabbed in the chest was not expected to face charges because he acted in self-defense, San Antonio police said.
