City crews prepare for possible flooding
Residents asked to avoid notoriously dangerous areas
SAN ANTONIO - The city of San Antonio is preparing for possible flooding on Saturday.
Crews spent Friday cleaning drains and getting barricades in place should any roads need to be blocked off.
"Whenever we anticipate any type of inclement weather with rain, we always have crews pre-place barricades around San Antonio," said April Alcoser, with the city's Public Works Department.
Every rain event is different, but officials are asking residents to avoid areas that are notorious for flooding on Saturday, should heavy rain fall.
