2 men wanted in Caliente Harley Davidson store robberies
SAPD: Men stole leather jackets twice in 1 day
SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio police are asking for the public's help in identifying the two people who they said stole from the Caliente Harley Davidson store on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
Police said surveillance footage from inside the store shows that sometime after 2 p.m., the two men entered the clothing area of the Harley store, located at 7230 NW Loop 410, and began removing security tags from several leather jackets.
The tape then shows the men taking the jackets into a restroom, then reappear sometime later with the jackets stuffed under their shirts and walk out the front door.
Police said the pair returned five minutes later and repeated the process, removing security tags from a leather jacket, stuffing inside their clothing and fleeing the store in what police said was a "dark cherry" 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt four-door sedan with Texas license plate number 6GWPL.
The men are each wanted on a charge of theft greater than $1,500 but less than $20,000.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $500 for information which leads to the arrest of the people wanted in connection with the robberies. Call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (224-7867) or visit www.sacrimestoppers.com. To text a tip, Text "Tip 127 plus your tip" to CRIMES (274637).
