Two alarm fire torches westside repair shop

Firefighters say business likley a total loss

SAN ANTONIO - An early morning two-alarm fire burned through a westside repair shop, likely destroying the business.

Firefighters got the call just before 5 a.m. Sunday.

They say they arrived to the business in the 9800 block of Marbach and found the doors locked and the business in flames.

They busted in and started fighting the fire, but had to evacuate the building when flames shot through the roof and the ceiling started to collapse.

Fire crews called for a second alarm to get more equiptment and manpower on the fire site.

They say a concrete wall separated the appliance repair shop from another business.

That second business had only minor damage.

But firefighters say the repair shop appears to be a total loss.

Fire investigators are now trying to determine what sparked the fire.
