2 arrested in separate drunken driving wrecks
SAPD: Wrecks happen 30 minutes apart
SAN ANTONIO - Two suspected drunken drivers were arrested early Friday morning in separate accidents, police said.
The first wreck happened just before 1 a.m. on Fair Avenue and Interstate 37.
San Antonio police say a woman driving a Volkswagen tried to change lanes and hit an SUV.
That SUV lost control and hit a guardrail.
The two people inside the SUV had minor injures and were treated at the scene.
The woman in the Volkswagen was detained by police and could be facing DWI charges.
Drunken driver hits Good Samaritan's truck
About 30 minutes after the first drunken driving wreck, another suspected drunken driver hit a pickup truck that was on the side of the road helping out a woman who's motorcycle had broken down.
This was at the intersection of Tezel and Culebra Road.
A friend in a pickup was helping the woman when another pickup truck was speeding by and rear-ended the parked truck.
The impact knocked the woman to the ground.
She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the speeding truck was arrested and will be facing DWI charges.
