Woman said she feared for her life after getting Charles Delgado’s text messages
SAN ANTONIO - Text messages have led to jail for Charles Delgado, 39, who’s accused of electronically harassing his ex-girlfriend and leaving her in fear for her life.
Delgado was arrested Tuesday on a charge of telephone harassment.
According to the arrest affidavit, Delgado’s ex-girlfriend filed the police report this week, telling officers that she had received “numerous’ threatening text messages from him Saturday.
The affidavit stated that the woman said she was in fear for her life as a result of the messages.
In one message, Delgado allegedly threatened to kill her one day, saying “If I can’t have you, no one can,” the affidavit stated. In another message, he allegedly told her “I don’t give a (expletive) about blowing your head off,” the affidavit stated.
A warrant was issued for Delgado’s arrest Tuesday morning. He was booked into jail later that day with bond set at $2,500.
