What's happening this weekend
A look at some weekend activities happening around town.
Chili-lovers can unite at the Chili-Chelada Fiesta. Come out and enjoy the best chili and micheladas in town. Local restaurants will compete in categories like the Red Chili and Chili Verde. That's on Saturday at La Villita from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Tickets are $35. Click here for more information.
Something free Friday night, the Dia De Los Muertos Fireworks Celebration at Woodlawn Lake. The event also includes food, music and face painting. It kicks off at 6:00pm and ends with a 20 minute fireworks display.
For country music fans, Texas favorites Cody Canada and the Departed play Friday night at Floores Country Store out in Helotes. The boys hit the stage at 9:00pm, tickets are $20 at the door. Click here to reserve tickets.
And take a stroll down memory lane as Olivia Newton-John takes the stage on Sunday at the Majestic Theatre. The Australian pop legend will play some of her fan favorites. The show starts at 7:00pm and tickets start at $35. Click here for tickets.
Sausage, polka music and german beer, it's all part of Wurstfest starting Friday. The annual 10-day German festival runs until November 11 at Landa Park in New Braunfels. Gate open at 11:30am on weekends and 5:00pm on weekdays.
