Monday marks 3rd anniversary of Fort Hood shooting

Army psychiatrist Major Nidal Hasan shot, killed 13 people, wounded 32

SAN ANTONIO - Monday marks the third anniversary of the mass shooting at Fort Hood, in Killeen, Texas, carried out by Army psychiatrist Major Nidal Hasan.

On Nov. 5, 2009, Hasan opened fire on a group of soldiers who were undergoing medical exams at the Army post, killing 13 people and wounding 32 more.

Survivors have said they are frustrated that Hasan has still not faced an official court-martial.

His trial has been held up for months over by a dispute over whether he should be forced to shave his beard.
