Jose Webster, 51, accused of sexually assaulting mentally challenged teen
Girl said she met Jose Webster, 51, in online chat room
SAN ANTONIO - South Side resident Jose Webster, 51, is charged with sexual assault of a child in a case involving a 16-year-old mentally challenged girl who he met online.
The teen told police she met Webster on an internet site called “Mocospace,” then met up with him in person at a bus station in June, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
The affidavit stated that the girl told police she went to Webster’s home because she had no place else to stay, but that he immediately made sexual advances toward her.
She said she left the home but came back several times because he would “buy me stuff,” the affidavit stated.
The case came to light after Webster realized the teen was the subject of a missing persons report on file with the San Antonio Police Department, the affidavit stated.
Webster called police on Nov. 1, and they later interviewed the girl, the affidavit stated.
Webster was arrested Monday on a charge of sexual assault of a child.
