Stolen car chase reaches 100 mph, ends in crash near Dominion Drive

Driver flees after crash, arrested by SAPD


SAN ANTONIO - A driver is facing multiple charges after leading San Antonio police on a chase that lasted for miles and reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour.

An officer spotted the car around 2 a.m. at Loop 410 and Culebra and ran the vehicle's license plates.

The car came back as stolen and the officer attempted to pull the driver over.

The driver, a man in his 20s, fled and led police on the chase from 410 to Interstate 10 West to Dominion Drive.

San Antonio police said the driver then exited I-10 and lost control of the car while taking the turnaround.

The driver crashed and fled on foot, but was arrested a short time later. San Antonio police said the man was not hurt. His name has not been released.
