Freeze warning issued for Hill Country

Freeze warning in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday

SAN ANTONIO - The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for Kendall, Kerr, Gillespie and Blanco counties for Tuesday morning.

The warning is in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m., when temperatures are expected to dip into the high 20s to low 30s.

Residents are urged to protect tender vegetation.

Bexar County is not included in the warning, as low temperatures are forecast to be in the low 40s. High temperatures are expected to be in the mid-50s with a chance of rain.

The below-normal temperatures are expected to hang around until at least Wednesday, when another freeze warning is expected to be issued for the Hill Country.

A warning trend is expected to begin Thursday.
