San Antonio police nab Radio Shack smash-and-grab suspects

Cell phone accessories stolen from Northeast San Antonio Radio Shack, 2 arrested

SAN ANTONIO - Two men were arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with a smash-and-grab at a Northeast Side Radio Shack.

The suspects broke into the Radio Shack near Nacogdoches and O'Connor roads, and took off with expensive cellphone accessories, a store manager said.

San Antonio police responded to the burglary around 2:30 a.m., and officers in the area spotted the suspects a short time later.

Police said the suspects had the stolen cell phone items in their backpacks.

The two suspects were taken in for questioning and the merchandise was returned to the store.

The manager at the store said there is surveillance video that shows the men break a front window with a rock before going inside.
