New twist for annual car show
SAN ANTONIO - From old-school Chevys to new-school hybrids and electric vehicles, the San Antonio Auto and Truck Show is a car enthusiasts' paradise.
The four-day show includes more than 300 cars, trucks, and SUVs. Several vintage automobiles and military vehicles are also on display.
“We have 30 different franchises and we have 62 different dealers that are participating in this, so we have a wide range of vehicles and manufacturers represented here,” said San Antonio Automobile Dealers Association President Pamela Crail.
This is the 44th year for the annual car show, and this time around, organizers have added a new feature.
Not only can visitors get an up-close look at new 2013 models, but they can also test drive some of them.
San Antonio resident Christopher Harden said the show offers all the benefits of being at a dealership without the stress of dealing with a car salesman.
“You have no problems,” he said. “You get to see what they look like, and then when you go test drive it, that’s the selling point.”
Tickets for the show are sold at the door for $10, and children 10 and under receive free admission.
Parking is free all four days with a coupon that is available at saautodealers.com.
