Suspects use blow torch during attempted ATM robbery at Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union branch

San Antonio police: Same men could be behind other ATM break-ins

SAN ANTONIO - Two suspected thieves disabled a surveillance camera and then used a blow torch to try to get inside an ATM at a Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union Branch in the 6400 block of Baywater Drive early Monday morning.

San Antonio police said the men were not able to access the cash, and decided to leave when they were spotted by a security guard.

The security guard attempted to stop the men, but they fled and remained at-large as 7 a.m. Monday.

San Antonio police said the security officer has been patrolling area Randolph Brooks branches after someone recently tried to break into an ATM at the location on Culebra.

Investigators believe the same men are responsible for several recent ATM break-ins.
