Jonathan Miranda accused of shooting 3-year-old girl

Jonathan Miranda one of two suspects in shooting on Remolino Calle

SAN ANTONIO - Jonathan Miranda, 20, has been arrested in connection with a shooting earlier this month that wounded a 3-year-old who was sleeping inside her home on Remolino Calle.

A man was also shot and killed outside the home during the same incident.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that witnesses told San Antonio police Miranda fired shots into the home in the 200 block of Remolino Calle on Nov. 7.

Jaylyn Vasquez, 3, who was sleeping in a bedroom, was wounded in the arm. Joe Santos, Jr., 30, was shot and killed outside the home.

Police believe the shootings stemmed from an argument between two groups of people at the home earlier in the evening, the affidavit stated.

A second suspect, Damien Deleon, 21, is also named in the affidavit. However, it does not mention whether he has been arrested or what charges he faces.
