Authorities seek suspects in battery theft

Over over 700 batteries stolen from business

SAN ANTONIO - Authorities say they need the public’s help in identifying the thieves who stole over 700 batteries from a local business.

According to police, it happened at Exide Technologies in an isolated business park at 8569 Northeast Loop 410 on Dec. 1.

The thieves broke in through the back of the business and stole over 18 pallets of vehicle batteries, police said. According to authorities, the batteries are worth anywhere from $20,000 to $100,000.
