2 Taft students arrested for school threats

Jacob Baker, Lateef Anderson arrested last week

SAN ANTONIO - A pair of Taft High School students were arrested last week for making terrorist threats toward their campus.

Northside Independent School District spokesman Pascual Gonzalez said 17-year-old Jacob Baker (picture, left above) was arrested Tuesday for making a bomb threat.

Gonzalez said this is the second time in a week that students have turned in a student for making terrorist threats.

17-year-old Lateef Anderson (pictured, right above), was arrested Friday for threatening to "shoot up the school".

Both suspects will have a hearing when they get out of jail and will more than likely be sent to an alternative high school, Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez said that NISD students are being reminded to "say something if they hear something" to an administrator or anonymously to the 24-hour Safeline at 397-SAFE (7233).
