Man tased while going after officer with shovel

Police say man was trying to break into his own business


SAN ANTONIO - Police say they were forced to use a taser on a man early Sunday morning after he tried to break into his own business with a shovel.

It happened a little after 2 a.m. in the 700 block of W. Hildebrand.

Police say they received a call for a disturbance at that location and when they arrived they found the intoxicated man trying to get break in.

When one of the officers tried to stop the man he went after the officer with the shovel.  Police say at that point they were forced to tase him.

The officer was not injured.

The man was arrested for public intoxication.
