Man killed in West Side hit-and-run

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio police are looking for a driver who they said struck and killed a man on the city's West side.

The fatal accident happened around 11 p.m. on Sunday night.

Police say the 48-year-old man was trying to cross Northwest 36th Street at Culebra, when a Crown Victoria hit him.

The man -- who was not at a crosswalk -- died at the scene.

His name has not been released.

The driver of the Crown Victoria did not stop.

At last check, police were still searching for that car and its driver.
