Consumer Reports tested 11 sparkling wines and found affordable ones to recommend.


After swirling, sniffing and sniffing, tested recommended  Blanc de Noirs from Gloria Ferrer, a California vintner.

It costs $16.


For $14, Gruet Blanc de Noirs from New Mexico rated even higher.
