Moto­rcyclist injured after hitting head on pavement on Northeast Side

Moto­rcyclist not wearing helmet, slid 30 to 40 feet near Stony Ash and Ridge Country

A motorcyclist suffered a serious head injury after he lost control of his bike and hit his head on the pavement on the Northeast Side.

A witness told San Antonio police the motorcyclist was riding along Ridge Country near Stony Ash around 2 a.m. Wednesday when he hit a speed bump and lost control of the bike.

The motorcyclist slid 30 to 40 feet before coming to a stop. Police said the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was not wearing a helmet.

He was rushed to University Hospital for treatment. His condition was unknown Wednesday morning.
