New Braunfels murder suspect surrenders

Warrant was issued for Nathaniel Fox early Friday

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas - Just a few hours after New Braunfels police announced they were looking for Nathaniel Fox for the murder of his girlfriend, Fox surrendered.

Friday evening, police said Fox contacted Bob's Billiards in New Braunfels "expressing his desire to turn himself in for this warrant."

Fox, 27, was arrested there without incident, then taken to the Comal County Sheriff's Office to be booked into the jail.

Earlier, detectives said Fox is the boyfriend of 27-year-old Melissa Eason. She was found dead by New Braunfels police Jan. 1 in her home on E. Merriweather, where she reportedly lived with Fox.
