Spurs' Duncan, Kawhi Leonard out against Hornets
Ginobili back after missing 4 games
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Spurs announced Wednesday that power forward Tim Duncan and shooting guard Kawhi Leonard are both out for Wednesday night’s game versus the New Orleans Hornets.
According to the Spurs, Duncan is out with a sore left knee and Leonard is out with a left patella contusion.
The team also announced that Manu Ginobili is expected to be in uniform tonight after missing the previous four games with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain suffered on Jan. 13 versus Minnesota.
The Spurs tip off against the Hornets tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the AT&T Center.
On Monday night, Duncan and guard Tony Parker pushed back hard-charging Philadelphia late in the game to lead San Antonio to its fifth straight win, 90-85 over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Duncan had his fifth double-double of the season with 24 points and 17 rebounds and Parker had 20 points.
The Spurs blew a 17-point lead in the first half before rallying late in the fourth to win again without Ginobili.
