The city of San Antonio had a huge reason to celebrate Tuesday.

It's the one-year anniversary of Downtown Tuesday.

In honor of the anniversary, the city has announced a new contest that it hopes will help drive more people to take part in Downtown Tuesday.

According to City Manager Sheryl Sculley, the city wants residents and visitors to take pictures of their Downtown Tuesday events and post them on social media websites.

Every week, a winner will be drawn and the grand prize is six months of free parking at the Saint Mary's Street Garage.

The contest will take place until March 12.

Downtown Tuesday was started as an effort to get more people downtown to enjoy the city.

The city offers free parking from 5 p.m. till 2 a.m. in an effort to get more people downtown and enjoy some of the many businesses that take part in Downtown Tuesday
