Cops look for pawn robbery suspect
Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect who hit up a pawn shop.
The San Antonio Police Department said a man seen in surveillance footage wearing a hoodie and handkerchief robbed the EZ Pawn at 2211 Fredericksburg Road on Feb. 10.
According to the police report, the suspect walked into the store and waived his handgun leading up to the robbery. After a witness at the store turned off a vacuum to listen to the man, the suspect started pistol whipping a glass case to get jewelry on display. The suspect broke the glass, removed three boxes of gold jewelry, and took off running through the front doors, investigators said.
A search for the suspect in the area surrounding the store was unsuccessful.
Anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP.
Crime Stoppers says it will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime.
