What's happening this weekend
A look at some events happening around town
The year of the Dragon makes way for the year of the Snake in 2013. That's what folks will be celebrating at the 26th annual Asian Festival. The event features food from all over Asia, live music and performances, including the popular Lion Dance. It's at the Institute of Texan Cultures, Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Click here for tickets.
The second weekend of the Stock Show and Rodeo features Lady Antebellum playing both the early and late concerts on Saturday. Other big names this weekend include One Republic, after the evening rodeo Friday, and Kip Moore, who plays after the early rodeo session Sunday. Dierks Bentley, who just performed at the Grammy's, takes the stage on Monday night. Click here for a full schedule of rodeo events and entertainment.
If you need some fuel after the rodeo, check out Donut-Palooza on Sunday. It's a donut throw-down between Bakery Lorraine and the Monterey, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at 1127 S. St. Mary's.
Don't miss the Fine Wine and Cuisine Tasting, also on Sunday. It features 350 wines and food from more than three dozen restaurants. It's at the Alamodome at 6:00 pm. Click here for more information.
