SAN ANTONIO - A man was shot outside a north San Antonio bar and attempted to drive himself to the hospital, police said.

Shots were fired around 2 a.m. Monday at The Hangar in the 8200 block of Broadway Avenue, police said.

The shooting then spilled over into the street, but no one reportedly called police.

Officers found out about the shooting when they found the victim in a car at Loop 410 and Starcrest.

Police said the victim tried to drive himself to the hospital, but could not make it the entire way, and stopped on the side of the road.

Someone reported a stalled car in the area, and police responded.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. Police said he was shot in the leg.

Police interviewed several witnesses, but no arrests have been announced as of Monday morning. A cause for the shooting was unknown.

Officers were looking for a black car that sped off with four men inside.
