Nicolas Gonzalez 23, charged with aggravated robbery
Nicolas Gonzalez, 23, is accused of barging into a north San Antonio apartment and robbing a man who was waiting for his wife to return with hash browns for breakfast.
San Antonio police arrested Gonzalez Wednesday on a charge of aggravated robbery in connection with the incident on Feb. 24.
The victim told police his wife had gone to a nearby McDonald’s restaurant to buy him hash browns, and he was on the sofa waiting for her to return when he heard someone open the door of his Blanco Road apartment.
The man said he soon saw Gonzalez pointing a gun at him and ordering him into the bathroom, the affidavit stated.
His wife told police she came home a short time later and passed the suspect as he was leaving her apartment, the affidavit stated.
After she went inside, she found out he had robbed her husband at gunpoint, the affidavit stated.
The man told police he discovered jewelry and a handgun had been taken from his bedroom.
Police said the wife recognized Gonzalez as someone who had visited a neighbor in the past. She was able to identify him in a photo lineup, the affidavit stated.
